Betting odds are written in three ways — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same probability; only the notation differs.
Example 1 — Betting on team A to win, stake ৳200:
Decimal 2.25 = Fractional 5/4 = American +125. If the bet wins, you get back ৳450 (৳250 profit + ৳200 stake). If it loses, you lose ৳200.
Example 2 — Favourite team B, stake ৳200:
Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American -125. American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win 100. On a ৳200 bet, if team B wins you get back ৳360 (৳160 profit).
Multi-bet example:
If three selections have decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.60 — the combined odds are 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.60 = 3.36 (approximately). So on a ৳100 bet, winning all three returns ৳336. Losing any one means the full ৳100 is lost.
The lower the odds, the more favoured that team is considered. In decimal format no odds go below 1.0 — 1.0 means zero profit.
